The Process:
•    Custom orders will be planned with Janos directly by way of discussions, pictures, and his drawings.  A wood type selection will be made based on your preference, availability,  and Janos’ experience in working with different wood (oak, cedar, pine, redwood) and applications.  Finishing may include detailed trimmings like eyes, barnacles, etc. and painting and/or oiling/staining.  Shipping method and costs will be included in the up-front agreement.

To Order:
    •    An up-front agreement will be made to include the price and shipping method before work will begin and after the collaborative planning discussion.  Half of the cost will be paid up-front with the second half paid upon receipt and acceptance of the item.  Of course, the price will vary depending on size, type of wood, intricacy, finish, etc.

Family Oriented:
    •    PV Chainsaw Art is a family operated activity aimed at sharing Janos’ passion for creating chainsaw art.  Janos is an old-school Hungarian Californian who has discovered his passion - creating chainsaw artwork that replicates his love for the outdoors; rustic, country style living; the beach scene; etc. Click here to meet the man who creates these pieces of chainsaw carved wood art and furniture.  
    •    The availability of beautiful, pre-felled trees from his son’s tree clearing service helped fuel the passion of marrying his creative talent and love for the out-of-doors.
    •    A brother-in-law helps with the website, photography, and creating content to help market and expand Janos’s special order service beyond just family and friends.
    •    Of course, his wife, Syrena, helps in important ways and is the driving force behind everything and our go-to commander!

If a tree falls in the forest...
    •    The Weber family is environmentally friendly and conscientious in this endeavor.  No trees are intentionally cut down for the specific use of creating chainsaw sculptures or furniture.  Janos’s interest in wood carving evolved from seeing beautiful trees being chopped up for other reasons (fire hazard, clearing, disease, etc.) at his son’s tree clearing business in Southern California's San Gabriel Mountains.  All of the pieces Janos creates are from these previously felled trees.

The Artwork:
•    Every piece of artwork/furniture is created by Janos and cut from one log – no joints, no gluing.  The wood used is oak, cedar, pine, and redwood.  Each piece is one-of-a-kind - not mass-produced.
•    Choose something from the art gallery or make a custom order.  Collaborate with Janos to personalize and individualize your custom sculpture or furniture.
•    Enhance any yard, garden, office building, home, or cabin:  Pelicans, Bears, Cubs, Owls, Wolves, Buffalo, Eagles, Moai Polynesian Monoliths, etc. – the sky’s the limit.  The furniture is timeless and can be custom inscribed (see photos for examples) – benches, tables, bars, stools, chairs, frisbee golf baskets, etc.
